It is with pleasure, humour and seriousness that Slip Premier has embarked with a singular art that installs with finesse and impertinence into the world art market.
With his works (Acrylic, ink and aerosol on canvas or wood), Slip Premier takes possession of space and plays with popular culture, fantasy, humour, tradition, education, beauty and kitsch. Everything co-exists in a set both heterogeneous and complementary.
Just like his name taken from an inside joke between graffiti artists, the work of Slip Premier is marked by the indelible imprint of graffiti. He became known with his phantasmagoric mythology that he creates in the street or on communication media for music and cultural events, which combine graffiti, original techniques learned from his design background and elaborate installations.
Slip Premier has developed a fantasy world, colourful, filled with strange characters. His work is meticulous and detailed, the result of regular and sustained efforts.
Vivid colours, unreal scenes, amazing characters that make you smile. The artist integrates personal or more general references, puns, colours and materials, creating certain connivance with those who detailed his painting.
Slip Premier does not want to pass messages or distil a thought. He plays by instinct with the medium, materials and colours, creating little scenes from his imagination. The medium, as in graffiti, takes over the narration, and becomes an integral part of his compositions.
Inspiration from the aesthetics of Tim Burton or the work of Os Gemeos, joy, humour, a bit of audaciousness and a lot of passion, characterise the art of Slip Premier.
